At GOALS 2025 Media Range Day in Knoxville, TN, we got our hands on something absolutely wild, the AB Prototype Double-Wide C 2011 platform. And trust us… these pistols run.
Alex from AB Prototype gave us the full breakdown of their custom, hand-fit, all-metal builds, crafted right in Oak Ridge, TN. No MIM parts, no shortcuts, just precision machining and serious performance.
We tested their most aggressively ported 5-inch model, then put the 4.25-inch version through its paces to see which one shoots flatter. Spoiler: both are ridiculously smooth. Like, “Staccato-who?” smooth.
Standout Features
Built in Oak Ridge, TN — true hand-fit craftsmanship
All-metal construction
Zero MIM parts
Ventilator Port hybrid system
Multiple lengths & porting configurations
Price (before optic): approx. $3,200
If you think your Staccato is the endgame… you might want to sit down before you try one of these.
