Experiencing Osight 20k Day and Feeling Grateful for the Journey

By Calm Luong

There are opportunities in life that remind you how far you have come and how far you can go. My experience at the Osight 20k Day event in Arizona was one of those moments. It was not only a content creation assignment but a reminder of passion, community, and being part of something that aligns with both filmmaking and firearm culture in a meaningful way.

This all came together through my friend Frankie who is one of the co founders of Tactical Content Solutions. He brought me in to help cover the event and both he and Osight flew me out to Arizona for the project. That alone was something I genuinely appreciated. It felt good to be trusted with a role that involves skill creativity and responsibility.

The Event

Osight 20k Day was held in Buckeye Arizona at Range 21 31. The environment was filled with Osight employees media guests and exclusively invited VIP attendees. The focus of the event was simple but intense. A nonstop stress test of the new Osight XR optic with a goal of reaching ten thousand consecutive rounds.

The optic was mounted on a Glock 26X and it ran for hours without pause. No failures. No shift. No loss of zero. It kept going without a single issue. Beyond that the XR was also mounted and shot on multiple platforms including AR platforms SBR setups AR9 builds and even shotguns. Seeing it hold steady across so many platforms reinforced how reliable and well engineered it is.

The People

One of the best parts of the trip was meeting the people behind the product. The employees and staff clearly love what they do. Their excitement and pride in their work showed in every interaction. I also got the chance to hang out with Ashton Hammond again who generously gave me a full tour of the Osight office. Seeing their workspace gave me a deeper appreciation for the culture behind the brand.

Being part of this event reminded me why I enjoy combining filmmaking content creation and firearm culture. It felt like a moment where everything connected naturally. I was there doing what I do best and doing it with people who value the craft and the culture.

I am grateful for Frankie bringing me into this project. I am grateful to Tactical Content Solutions for trusting me. I am grateful to Osight for flying me out and giving me full access. Experiences like this fuel growth and open up future paths. It was more than a gig. It was a milestone.
