In the final part of my training series with GM DeShaun Jenkins, we dive into one of the most important, and most overlooked, elements of USPSA performance: movement.
This session focused on how to leave a position efficiently, enter with purpose, and shoot while moving without sacrificing control. It pushed my coordination, timing, and confidence more than any other part of the series.
What You’ll Learn in Part 4
Your first step controls the entire transition. Get that step right, and everything behind it becomes smoother.
Eyes → gun → body sequencing is the key to fluid movement and faster target engagement.
Speed isn’t the goal — smoothness is. When you stop rushing and start flowing, your times naturally drop.
Growth under pressure: I went from hesitating near no-shoots to moving confidently and shooting with intention.
This finale ties everything together , reload efficiency, vision discipline, shot timing, and now movement. I’m walking away with cleaner mechanics, better confidence, and faster, more consistent runs.
The work doesn’t stop here, but this series marks a huge milestone in my USPSA journey.
