My 4th Indoor Match: New Gun, New Confidence, New Lessons

Walking into Freedom Shooting Center for my fourth indoor match felt completely different from every match before it. This time, I had my brand-new P2-11 in hand — and even though I’m still learning it, something about having my own competition pistol gave me a little extra confidence and a lot more determination.

The dry-fire reps are starting to show. My draw feels smoother, my transitions cleaner, and my mindset a little more locked in. I wasn’t just here to survive the night, I was here to grow.

Before the match even started, I ran into two people who keep pushing me forward. First was Tazia, an absolute powerhouse shooter whose energy and passion always remind me why I’m doing this. Then I bumped into Wes from Curated Arms, who gave me a glimpse into what a fully customized 2011 can become. We talked slide cuts, PVD finishes, and, yes, whether I should turn my setup into the cutest, most bedazzled competition blaster on the range.

This match wasn’t perfect. It was messy, chaotic, full of unexpected moments… but also full of breakthroughs. Every stage felt like another piece of the puzzle falling into place. Every mistake became a lesson I could apply immediately. And every win, no matter how small, felt like momentum.

This episode captures what the Tactical Playground HQ journey really is, real growth, real challenges, real progress.

And I’m only getting started.
