In this session, GM DeShaun Jenkins walks me through a focused draw routine designed to build real speed and consistency. We break down every part of the motion — from hand placement to first-shot timing — and troubleshoot the habits that slow new shooters down.
We address:
engaging the safety late,
delayed support-hand contact,
muzzle dip (“fishing”) during the presentation,
and finding the dot immediately without searching for it.
After tightening each step, we run structured reps until hitting that 1.2–1.3 second window becomes smooth, predictable, and repeatable.
This is the foundation of faster, cleaner match runs — and Part 1 sets the tone for everything that comes next.
