In Part 2 of my session with GM DeShaun Jenkins, we shift the focus from mechanics to vision and trust — two fundamentals that separate smooth shooters from fast shooters.

Coach DJ walks me through a simple but powerful principle: aim for the widest scoring zone, let the eyes move first, allow the gun to settle, then press the shot.

Once I stopped over-focusing and started trusting the process, something surprising happened  the run felt slower, but the times dropped instantly. Clear vision and disciplined shot timing make everything smoother, cleaner, and faster.

This session reminded me that speed isn’t forced; it’s a byproduct of seeing clearly and shooting with intention.
